Black Friday Haul

So I've faced the shops and I've survived YAY!
Here in the UK we don't celebrate Thanksgiving but we do however get a lovely Black Friday.
My aims for the day were to get a tablet as my Ipad is no longer updatable and finish my Christmas shopping!
I was also hoping for a few other treats such as some gorgeous shoes from Miss Guided.
Last night I was sitting online filling up my shopping bags but not buying anything just incase they happened to be in the sale today!

Anyway I got;

Two new stockings for my fireplace, tinsel & a few Christmas decs, two boxes of Thorntons chocs, two Asus Memo Pad 7" in white and red, a Sekonda watch, a fresh water pearl necklace, pearl & diamontee stud earrings, a set of 3 sterling silver earrings, a 32 piece cutlery set, a bedding set, a few bits for my pets and (not pictured above) two books.

I arrived at John Lewis this morning at 10 to 7 to get my Asus Memo Pad!!

I thought it was going to be horrendous but by the time the store opened at 8 there was a mere 12 of us waiting! Sadly though my local store didn't even stock the Asus so I had to make a brisk walk over to Currys which again wasn't actually anywhere as bad as I thought it was going to be!
My husband and I managed to get our Asus's for £79 each a £40 saving!

After that we went to our local high street and picked up the rest. We went into BHS where I picked up my bedding set for £22.50 a massive saving of 50% and I can't help myself with duvet sets. I always end up buying some when there's a sale! I also picked up the cutlery set for £25, which was 30% off.

We then popped into Debenhams where I got  Sekonda watch for my dad, again a massive saving of 50% and I only paid £25 for it!
I also went into Warren James for the jewellery but there was no Black Friday sale, just the usual prices!
I picked up a few pieces in pets at home for our new hamster Lola and got our guinea pig Barry a few treat bars for Christmas. They didn't stock my chihuahua's fave Christmas pudding chews so I'll have to venture out tomorrow!
The Thorntons chocolates were £4.80 a box instead of £9.60, which was a nice little find!
I got all the Christmas bits in the 99p store, so nothing too exciting there!

I wasn't going too but I did end up going to Tesco at midnight and it was chaos! The store was empty a mere 10 mins after the sale had started and the ques went miles down the shop. It was just filled with people who had managed to get a TV!

I also cracked and was on Miss Guided at half 12 this morning purchasing some shoes and a dress I've had my eye on for a while and got a mammoth 20% off!

Overall thought it really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be!
What did you manage to get the Black Friday sales? I'd love to know!
Until next time,

  1. Wow girl you picked up so much stuff! I made a Missguided order this evening and that was it. I can't believe some of the videos of people fighting for TV's on the news, it was very civilised waiting outside my local Asda this morning.

    Lindsey. x

    1. Yeah I went a tad crazy but I finished my Christmas shopping Huzzarrr! I know, people are mad you cannot need a tv that badly! I didn't even risk Asda today, your alot braver than me! Becca xx
