Reasons I Love Blogging

There's loads of reasons people become bloggers and although it's hard work, it's totally worth it. I can't imagine my life without blogging in it now, it's such an amazing outlet, way to meet new people and so much more. So here's all the reasons I love blogging.

As I said before, blogging is hard work, so why do people do it?
Personally I blog for the outlet. It's creative, fun and an amazing way of meeting people! We have weekly chats, there's regular meet ups, PR events, blogger parties and much more. I can't imagine my life without blogging in it.
I'm always looking for things to do or things I've done to write about or photograph because I want to share it with my readers. From the good to the bad, it's an amazing feeling just writing it down and putting it out there.

The blogging community is freaking awesome. End of.
Yeah, sometimes there's drama but it's usually sorted quickly and everyone goes back to their life. It's been awesome getting to know so many people and being able to share things we have in common. For me anxiety and panic attacks have always been an embarrassment in my life but I decided to take the plunge and write about it. The response was amazing, so many bloggers have suffered like I have and together we help each other through it. Someone only has to tweet about having a bad day and half a dozen people are there to ask what's up, I've never been apart of anything like it.

It's hard but it's so rewarding.
Blogging is so creative, it's a perfect outlet. From sharing photography to sharing recipes or outfits to hotel reviews, blogging gives you a platform to share whatever you want.
There are times you will be totally stuck with what to write, the writers block will come in like a dark mist. Fast forward half hour of reading other blogger's new posts and you'll have so many ideas, you don't know where to start.
I spend a lot of my free time blogging. I spend time after work and weekends updating my blog and making sure my social media is scheduled etc. It's a whole job in it's own right but if you want something you have to work for it and there is nothing quiet like watching your little slice of the internet grow.

Working with companies.
I love working with companies and I'm really pleased to have worked with some awesome brands.
From the outside it looks like bloggers get 'free' stuff but in reality we don't. We get products sent to us to try for free, yes. We then have to write reviews, photograph, promote on social media and try out the products! It's time consuming, hard work and sometimes the amount of time you put in (wage wise) doesn't even cover the cost of the product.
I do it because I love it and I want my readers to be able to make informed decisions about the products they are buying.

There are literally thousands of reasons to blog and I would be here forever listing them all!
I've met some amazing people and it's definitely changed my life for the better. No matter what happens I know I have a community of people looking out for me and I've always got a platform to be creative and better myself with.
I'd highly recommend blogging to anyone who's considered it!

Why do you blog?
Until next time,

  1. I agree with you on the blogging community - I've made so many more friends and talk to people daily now - that I probably wouldn't have ever met if I hadn't of started blogging! I also like the idea that in 5 or 10 years I can look back and see what I was doing or what I was blogging about - which is always exciting to think about (but not exciting to think I'll be in my 30s) :( Great post :D

  2. This post is really sweet and I also have to agree with the blogging community - no other 'job' is like it. I've met some of my best friends through blogging and have had so many amazing opportunities since becoming a blogger - I'm very grateful for it all and often feel super lucky!

  5. I agree with everything you've said here! The community is definitely such a lovely place! I started my blog as a creative outlet, because I work in the IT industry where there isn't any creative side to my job! I love it so much, and my blog is my little baby now, and a huge part of my life! Great post Becca xx
