So it's been a few days since my first trip to Lush in Oxford Street and I thought it was about time I reviewed the products I picked up. If you didn't catch my post on the store you can find it here - Lush Oxford Street
I only picked up two items as otherwise I could have brought the whole store and with moving, I really don't need to lugging half of Oxford Street with me. However I did pick up my old favourite and I purchase an exclusive for my hubby.
I'll start with my old favourite, the Sugar Scrub.
This product isn't for everyone, I'll agree. I was speaking for a member of staff in the store who said she just couldn't get on it but knows people who love it.
I am one of those people who utterly adores it. I love exfoliating body washes and this is always one I buy again and again.
It is a courses rub that does take a fair amount of water to get it even usable but once it's there it's amazing. I always use it before I fake tan as I just know my skin is going to be silky soft and lovely.
The next item I've had my eye on since the store opened was Elbow Grease.
It's a blend of eupuaqu and murumuru butter that simply melts the second it touches the skin. It's super hydrating and smells gorgeous.
This isn't just a moisturising bar though, it's a magical one that makes tattoos appear brighter! My other half is Stew over at TattooedOwl.com and he's prettily heavily tattooed. He does use moisturisers to help keep his tattoos from fading so I knew as soon as I saw this I had to get my hands on it!
It's a colourless bar that melts with the heat of your skin and a little goes a long way. It's does take a while to sink into the skin but it's totally worth the wait!
We weren't totally convinced this was going to make a difference if we're both honest. Sometimes the hype of a product always seems to be better than the product itself but this time we are truly impressed!
Almost instantly his tattoos appear darker, more vibrant and almost similar to when he had it done originally. The product even leaves a very subtle shimmer to the skin making the eye be drawn towards wherever you use it!
It's an amazing product and if you have tattoos definitely one worth considering!
My only down side to it is that it doesn't have a super long 'life'. The one we purchased on the 17/08 has to be used by the 16/09 and although I'd much rather purchase a natural ingredient moisturiser, I do feel we may end up with some that goes over the expiry date.
What's your favourite Lush product? Have your tried any Oxford Street exclusives?
Until next time,
