Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick - Black Cherry

I saw this shade in an photo posted by Revlon on Twitter and knew I had to have it. It was the colour that would see me through the cold winter and make my life whole again.

This is the most gorgeous deep berry shade of lipstick ever.
I initially fell for it because it reminded me of Mac's Rebel but while it's not a dupe for Rebel it's in a total realm of it's own.

Revlon Left - Mac Right

I am a massive fan of a matte lip and this most definitely isn't my usual finish but it's a very subtle sheen that can be taken away instantly with the addition of some translucent powder.

First of all it glides on like a dream. It doesn't drag the skin and it allows you control over how deep the shade ends up. I started with a light coat which makes the lipstick come out a very berry purple which would look gorgeous with a bit of gloss on top! I wore it full on, dark full coverage and I loved it.
I'm not one of those girls who seems to be able to keep lipstick on for hours on end and this was no different but it does have a good staying power! I only added colour to my whole lips twice in 10 hours (I topped up the middle where I drank and ate a few times) and it didn't smudge or melt down my face like other lipsticks have. Nearer the end of my day I did add a bit of powder to make it a more matte shade and that did seem to extend it's wear time!

I do usually go all out and wear lipliner with my lipsticks but I didn't even feel like I needed too with this, which was a massive plus for me. It's also super moisturising so I didn't feel like my lips were cracking or that the colour was sticking to any potential dry spots.

Over all this is my shade of the season and I think I'll try some other colours from the range!
It gets a thumbs up from me!

Until next time,

  1. gorgeous colour a berry lip in autumn is a must!

  2. the colour is gorgeous, prefect for the winter months! x

  3. Oh now I was expecting this to be black and not that shade, so I am shocked by that!

  4. I love this color. It looks a lot darker in the packaging x
