Maybelline Cover Stick Review

It's always this time of year my skin has a bit of a freak out and I find myself reaching for my concealer and cover sticks. Well I picked this little beauty up on a whim in Superdrug and I'm oh so glad I did!

Maybelline Cover Stick Review
I know why my skin freaks out at this time of year. It's the fact as soon as it hits December 1st I end up eating rubbish and my skin loves to remind me to put that biscuit down.
So I was in Superdrug the other day and brought this cover stick on a whim, it wasn't something I'd tried before.

I picked it up in shade 01 Ivory as I'm super pale and the fact I spend all day indoors with no natural day light, doesn't help!
Unlike other cover sticks I've used before this has a lovely thick and creamy consistency with some serious staying power. It offers me the perfect coverage in a easy to manage stick, which means it's really simple to use and I can pop it in my bag without it taking up lots of room.
When I'm at work I tend not to wear full on foundation and this still works perfectly with just a BB cream or alone. It's even got the added bonus of being dermatologist tested, fragrance free, ophthalmologist tested and non-comedogenic!

It's a super soft and creamy application and blends with easy using a beauty sponge or your fingers. It covers a multitude of sins and has helped me cover some dark circles from Christmas parties!
On first application it does appear to be really heavy and while it is a thicker texture, it blends out so well that you don't feel like you've caked it on. I find due to it's thicker texture a little goes a long way and it lasts all day! Bonus.

For a bargain £3.99 I will be repurchasing this in the future!

Have you tried this cover stick before?
Until next time,
Becca

  1. £3.99??? BARGAIN!! Ive not used a cover stick for years now, I've been going more liquid concealer but I don't actually know why, I always loved cover sticks.
Must give this one a go soon.
