Rainforest Cafe Review

During my visit to Disney, I decided to take a lunch time visit to the Rainforest Cafe in Disney Springs. I love the idea of a dining experience and you get exactly that here!

rainforest Cafe Review

We arrived at Rainforest Cafe around 2.30pm and were seated almost straight away. We were shown around the restaurant to our table but unfortunately we were seated right next to a wall so didn't really get the full Rainforest experience.

After we'd ordered our food and drinks we experienced our first rainstorm. The lights started to flicker and thunder bellowed out. It started to rain and the animals such as gorillas and elephants around the restaurant started to react, it's a really fun experience.

Lemon Raspberry Freeze

Our food took a while to arrive but we had our gorgeous Lemon Raspberry Freezes which I cannot recommend enough, if you ever go, get one they are so lush!

Once our food had arrived it wasn't the greatest food in the world and had it been anywhere else but the environment we were in, overpriced. I had fish and chips which don't get me wrong, was lovely but the fish wasn't super crispy and I did expect a bit more flavour from the Safari Fries and at $20.99 it wasn't the cheapest item on the menu.

Fish and chips

Stew had the Rib, Steak & Shrimp Trio. He said it was nice, although the ribs were a little overdone but not worth the $29.99 price tag. He was also expecting more flavour from the Safari Fries.

Our meal came to $69 before service charge, so was on the higher end of the price tag for two mains and a two drinks at a restaurant at Disney Springs but I am glad we went, you pay for the experience of eating in an environment and there aren't many like it!

Have you been to a Rainforest Cafe?

Until next time,
Becca

  1. Ahhh the experience seems lovely if you forget the price of the meal but it's normal! It's like paying $15 for WATER at some places haha

  2. The experience sounds lovely but it is a shame the food doesn't measure up.
