It's no secret that I'm a tea lover. Hot, cold, green, fruit, black, milky or sweet I'll have it please!
So when Teapigs got in touch and asked if I'd like to try some of their teabags to make iced tea to keep me cool this summer, I was more than happy.
Teapigs use real tea, whole leaf, real herbs and whole flowers. They pride themselves on bringing you great tasting tea that's full of love and boy oh boy they do just that.
You can buy a vast range of flavours from Teapigs and one of my all time faves is their popcorn tea. Yes, it sounds gross but oh dear Lord it's gorgeous - however I'd never actually attempted at making any kinda of tea into iced tea, I usually just pop on down to Starbucks or Costa once summer arrives to get my fix.
I've learnt the errors of my ways.
It's so simple to do, just pop a teabag of your choice into a cup pour enough hot water in to cover the tea bag and leave to steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Allow to cool slightly, top up with lots of ice and water (flavoured water if your feeling adventurous!) and some sliced fruit or berries and boom. Sorted.
I used the Superfruit tea bag with a bit of flavoured water and it was honestly just like the iced teas you can purchase from Starbucks but it wasn't full of sugar and it wasn't £3.00 odd a cup. I really don't know why I never tried making it before!
Since my first try, I've made it virtually everyday. Lemon and ginger is a gorgeous one for a summery hit and there are so many flavours to choose from you really are spoilt for choice!
Have you tried iced tea before?
Until next time,
