I've been to France a lot, from school trips to going to Disneyland Paris for my honeymoon but I've never actually ventured into the city itself. So how would I spend 24 hours in a city I've always wanted to explore but never had the chance?
As I've got older I've definitely caught the travel bug. There's so many places I'd love to explore, so many places I'd love to visit and so many places I'd love to eat in. So how would you spend 24 hours in a city you've always wanted to visit?
It would be rude not to start my day in Epicure, voted the Travellers Choice Award for 2016. Filling up on gorgeous gourmet food, as the continental breakfast sounds utterly incredible. Champagne, smoked salmon blinis, fresh fruit salad and boiled eggs with maple syrup and caviar what better way than that to fill up for a busy day of sight seeing?
After my perfect breakfast I'd head off to The Louvre, one of the most iconic buildings in Paris apart from the Eiffel Tower as it would be lovely to see a bit of culture! It's the largest art museum with a whopping 675,000 feet of works from the Mona Lisa to Winged Victory. It would be fab to spend a few hours walking around looking at incredible art work and soaking in the atmosphere.
Next up lunch! I'd head over to Kei, it's meant to be expensive but if you love Japanese food this is the place to go apparently. You can choose from 3, 5 or 8 courses, all delicious in a gorgeously designed restaurant. What a perfect way to spend an hour or two!
Next up shopping, while in France I'd just have to do it. I'd probably head over to Rue Saint-Honore as I'm a total sucker for a designer label and the chance to rub shoulders with some fashionistas such as Saudi Princesses and famous DJs. I mean what girl doesn't love a good afternoon of shopping?
If I could even eat another bite, I'd probably head over to 58 Tour Eiffel and kill two birds with one stone. I've never visited the Eiffel tower but it's something I'd love to do in the early evening, as night draws in and the stars come out. Not only does this restaurant have fab views but the food is meant to be incredible too. With champagne and beautiful views of Paris, what other way is there to end my 24 hours?
This is my entry to the Accords Hotel contest for a 9 night trip to explore Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin. With such an incredible prize being offered, I knew I had to give it a go! If you'd like to enter you can do so here - 24 Hours In....
So how would you spend your 24 hours in Paris?
Until next time,
