I've officially caught the bug. I got back from Lanzarote a few nights ago and I haven't stopped looking at flights and holidays since. I even managed to book a holiday for September while I was on holiday and I'm looking at booking another week away in the sun for November. RIP bank account....

Lanzarote was amazing although a tad cold with the temperature averaging around 17 but it didn't stop us enjoying every moment. A few highlights for me included my tiny dude walking on his own, meeting and cuddling a Sea Lion and the realisation that I've overcome the worse of my panic attacks and anxiety and I can actually travel!
It was my second visit to Lanzarote but the first one in a good 14 years, it didn't disappoint with it's gorgeous palm trees, sandy beaches, blue sea and stunning volcanic views. We stayed on an all inclusive H10 resort in Costa Teguise which had three outdoor pools, daily activities such as archery, rifle shooting and volleyball and a fantastic range of evening entertainment which included We Will Rock You, Grease and Mama Mia. We were walking distance from the beach and various pubs, shops and restaurants.  While we were there we made a few trips out, one to the market and the second to Rancho Texas Zoo, which I'd definitely recommend (thank you Stacey for the recommendation!).

Since our return I've been generally looking up sun related holidays such as Spain, Morocco and Florida. I'm rubbish with the heat though so generally I'm looking to book during the cooler, winter months from September - March. I'm definitely not one of those lucky ones who get a gorgeous glowing tan, I'm one who gets heat rash and lobster red skin! I've also never really been a shorts kinda girl but I fell head over heels in love with high waisted shorts from H&M like these denim ones, I managed to pick up a pair of grey ones with stars on in the London Designer Outlet.

I'd love to go on a ski holiday too. It's something I've never tried but always wanted too, I don't mind the colder weather either as long as I can wrap up warm and spend lazy hours sipping hot chocolate next to a massive fire. There are some amazing thermal clothing from the brand Engelbert Strauss including long sleeved tops and some sleek looking leggings. When I was in Disney and it was minus two, I definitely could have done with them.

So with a list of locations as long as my arm I'd like to visit, I think it's time I get a move on! If you have any recommendations for places to go, I'd love to hear them!
