How To Survive Blog Award Season

You may have noticed by now it's blog award season. It's a time to celebrate our fab bloggers who dedicate their time and effort to producing content you love to read! However they aren't everyone's cup of tea and after some backlash this year I thought I'd write a little tongue in cheek guide to surviving the award season!

How To Survive The Blog Award Season

You'll either be super excited and hoping you get picked or you really won't care come award season. They seem to be a bit like Marmite! Personally I love award season, I love supporting the bloggers I adore and seeing them get noticed for their hard work and dedication.

Join In Or Don't

Basically first step of surviving the season is either get involved or don't. It's up to you and you alone.

If You Don't Get Involved Don't Moan

Seriously it's like the whole Pok√©mon Go thing, if you wanna play it knock yourself out. If not just let people get on with their lives and enjoy themselves.

But My Niche Isn't In There!!

They are run by hard working bloggers who have jobs as well as their blog and still make the effort to make the community better. Hang on another year or why not create your own?

Don't Just Vote With The Majority

Know a small, new blogger who deserves some love? Nominate them, who knows how many other people will too?!

Don't Get Too Dishearten

Didn't get a vote? Don't forget it's only for a bit of love spreading, end of the day you still have your blog, your followers and all the fab opportunities you've had. Awards aren't everything, look at Leo!

And there you have it!
Don't forget end of the day despite our love we are all just ordinary people who write their opinions on the interest!

Until next time,

  1. Great post - I'm very meh about awards season. I do like to see all the love going around Twitter etc, though! x x

  2. This is a great post! The last couple of years I've not taken much notice of the blog awards, just voting a couple of times for blogs I really like. This year though I'm really happy to support them (and harbour a teeny bit of hope for myself!). You're right though, awards aren't everything and if people want to ignore them, then fine! :)
