Mini Lush Haul

I am a typical blogger in the fact someones only got to mention Lush and I'm on it like a car bonnet. I never used to rate them but over the last year I've fallen head over heels and can't get enough! Last week I was the very lucky winner of a few lush bits from the lovely Rachel over at  The Illustrated Teacup on her Twitter give away so I thought I'd do a quick review.

I won three lovely products, Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub, Love And Light Hand Creme and Cupcake Face Mask.
I decided to have a bit of a pamper session as being 6 months pregnant is starting to take it's toll, I needed a relaxing night! I started with a lovely long shower using Rub Rub Rub.

I know exfoliating shower scrubs aren't everyone's idea of a good time but personally I love them! This one is not only a gorgeous blue colour and a combination of Sea Salt, Lemon juice, Jasmine and Orange but smells so fresh and clean.
It can be used either dry skin for an intense buff up or in the shower on wet skin for a more gentle exfoliation. It also says it can be used on your hair to add volume and shine but I chickened out of that one as I have bleached hair!
My skin was left feeling super soft with just a touch of the scent remained on my skin, so it's perfect if your not one for heavy smells! This is the first shower scrub I've tried from Lush as I usually opt for the Sugar Scrub bar but I'm really impressed with it!

Once I was out I decided to pop on the Cupcake face mask while I painted my nails and moisturised!
I've used Cupcake before and it's probably my favourite fresh face mask that Lush do. I'm a sucker for anything chocolately so it's a total winner with me.

It's made from Rhassoul mud and cocoa powder to help draw out dirt and impurities while giving a deep cleanse. The only downside I have with fresh face masks is they have to be kept in the fridge, I'm not a massive fan of a plonking cold face mask on but I took this upstairs with me and allowed it to come up to room temp while I was in the shower.
I left this on so long it started to crumble as I got a bit involved with painting my nails (whoops!) but the end result was as usual, lovely. My skin was left feeling clean, toned and moisturised and it even smelt a bit like chocolate!
You may have seen the selfie myself and Stew put up on Twitter of the pair of us chilling with our face masks on....

Finally I finished painting my nails and reached for Love and Light hand creme!
This is another Lush product I'd never tried before so was looking forward to seeing what it can do. It's got a really lovely and long sell by date on it which I think is nice too.

It's made with Neroil and organic Cocoa Butter Cream so it's super moisturising and it has a lovely fresh fragrance thanks to the orange blossom! It instantly made my hands feel softer and didn't take long to sink in, which for me is a must! I utterly hate sitting there for ages having to try and rub hand cream in!
All in all I'm glad I've got a chance to try this product and while it might not be one that I purchase again I think I'm going to really enjoy using it during the winter period to keep my hands in tip top condition!

Again I'd love to say a massive thank you to Rachel for running the contest on her Twitter, it made my week!

Have you tried any of these Lush products?

Until next time,

  1. Congrats on winning those goodies! Rub Rub Rub is one of my all-time favorites! I mostly use it in my hair for the amazing volume. The hand cream sounds amazing, I'm going to have to try some of that soon :) Thanks for sharing!
    Steph x. Hello, Steph Blog

  2. I think I'm one of the few bloggers who don't rate lush but then my skin has always been an oddity. One thing I do love about their products though is the smell. Now that I do rate!!

  4. Fab products. I like the look of the cream. I am yet to try any Lush Product.

  5. I love Love and Light hand cream. Such a gorgeous smell. I've got more hand cream than I know what to do with now though, thanks to Lush! Haha. I'm not a huge fan of shower scrubs, but that one does sound like it smells lovely! x x

  6. I've not tried any of these - I love the sound of the Love & Light hand cream and the Cupcake mask sounds like you got great results. Once I'm mobile I think a trip to Lush for some pampering goodies is in order!
