Mermaid Perfume, Mint Lip Jelly & Bubbles

Let's face it, getting a goodie bag is always a good thing isn't it? Well the one I received at my latest blogging event really was a cracker! If you've ever wondered what a Mermaid smells like, wanted Insta perfect skin or have an obsession with marble you're gonna blimmin love it!

So not only was I lucky enough to spend a fantastic evening with two amazing people and Mecca Bingo but they were lovely enough to give us some fab goodie bags too! If you wanna read all about my night out at the bingo you can do so here - Mecca Bingo's Big Bingo Bash

Whoever was sent out to get the bits for these bags MUST be a blogger, I'm damn sure of it! Marble, beauty, fluff, mermaids and bubbles?! It's utterly perfect and thought I'd share what was in there and what I thought! A little warning that this is going to be VERY picture heavy!

So what was in the bag? A marble note book, a pen with fluffy bits, a deep cleansing cucumber peel off mask, Mermaid perfume, Cucumber cooling pads, Insta Girl Face Perfecting palette, bubbles AND Lip Jelly! All of the items are from Primark if you fancy any of them!

I love a bit of cucumber based beauty bits me. I dunno why but they are super refreshing and cooling and I'll always lean towards them over any other 'scent' or 'flavour' when it comes to a beauty treat.
The face mask says it's a deep cleansing, purifying mask which after a weekend of camping and a few weeks of rough nights with a teething baby I could do with for sure. I'm a massive sucker for a peel off mask too, there's just something so satisfying about it isn't there?!

I must admit I'm not the biggest user of cooling pads but these cucumber ones look so cute! Not only are their cucumber infused but they are actually shaped and coloured to look like slices of cucumber. You get 6 in a pack for a bargain £1 and they can be used anywhere on the face. I'm saving some of these bad boys for the next time I have a bath, I just need to make a little trip to Lush and grab myself a bath bomb first!

Mermaid perfume. I know, it's weird right? I've never wanted to sniff a mermaid but if I did I'd imagine it would smell salty and well, fishy. However Primark have decided that actually they smell like raspberry, passion fruit, florals, warm woods and musk, so there you go!
I do like a sweet perfume I must admit which is just as well as there's no other way to describe this perfume! It's like fruity lemonade almost and I'd imagine putting too much on would leave you with a cracking headache but I'm not mad about it. It's one I'd definitely wear but it'll probably be during the hotter summer months on beach days etc. I do like the rollerball application too, it's a bit old school (who remembers those roller ball lipglosses?!) but it does allow you to actually apply however much you want too.

Well apart from the big warning about not eating the lip jelly, I'm really not too sure what to say about it. It's for your lips and it's very odd. It's a weird mix between a liquid lipstick and a melted lip balm that feels extremely wet on application but seems to dry quickly but it doesn't really dry. I literally can't explain it. It's the weirdest lip product I've ever used and I'm not sure if I'm loving it or hating it. I've got the mint flavour and to be honest about 20 seconds after I applied it I got that minty tingle but apart from that I wouldn't say it was particularly minty at all. I will say my lips do feel really moisturised with it, so it isn't all bad. I'm so on the fence with this product but I think it's one I'm going to continue to use!

Finally there's the Insta Girl Face Perfecting which I must admit I haven't actually used on my face yet. I think this might need a whole blog post by itself as I already have a product by Makeup Revolution that is the exact same thing, so I might have to put the two to the test BUT I have swatched this on my hand to get the feel for it and unlike the MR one, it seems to sink into skin almost immediately and doesn't leave any kinda of residue. It's meant to be a primer and anti-shine balm so I'm excited to test it out and see and my forehead likes to be a disco ball by midday.
Inside the palette you get 6g of the product and a sponge to apply it with. The huge mirror on the inside of the lid is a welcome addition too!

There we have it, probably one of the best goodie bags I've had! What's your favourite product? Have you tried any of these before?

Until next time,
